Automatic Wire Strippers
A Wire Stripper is a hand tool designed to strip the insulation off of the end of electrical wires. Wire Strippers have slotted cutting blades usually located in the jaw of the tool. These cutting slots fit various gauge wires and when the wire is pulled through the slot its insulation gets left behind.
How to use a Wire Stripper?
The best practice for using a Wire Stripper is the following:
- Determine the wire gauge and type
- Match the wire to the tool
- Seat the wire
- Remove the insulation
